Additional Covid-19 Cleaning & Sanitisation Measures for our Guests Safety

by Rosemarie Watson

COVID-19 has necessitated some enhancements and additional measures to the meticulous cleaning that we already carry out here at Windrush Turret Lodge. These measures are implemented both before and after each stay to help keep our guests safe.

Special Attention to High Contact Areas

We conduct a thorough cleaning of the house after each stay. In addition we sanitise throughout and effectively disinfecting and paying particular attention to all high-contact areas.

These areas include kitchen work surfaces, door handles, hand rails, plug sockets, light fittings and TV remote controls and more. Additionally kitchen crockery, pots and pans, cutlery and utensils are all put through the dishwasher. This is to ensure they are cleaned effectively and at the right temperature.

Fogging Fabrics & Soft Materials

Between our guest visits, all appropriate fabrics and soft materials will be either washed at the government recommended temperature, deep cleaned or fogged with professional disinfectant spray (i.e. carpets, furniture and rugs).

Some items have been taken out of the cottage to reduce the risk of any cross-infection (these include board games etc.). Appropriate cleaning products will be available for use during your stay (hand sanitisers, anti-bacterial wipes etc.).

Airing the Lodge

Our cleaning staff wear gloves and masks when cleaning. The lodge is completely ‘aired’ between holiday lets so it is fresh for your arrival.

We look forward to welcoming you to Windrush Turret Lodge for an enjoyable, comfortable and safe stay.
